  • True Plug-n-Play Installation! No key programming procedures, additional parts, no computers, or special dealer programmers involved.

How a Remote Starter is Installed into a 2013 to 2020 Ford Fusion

Step 1: Unplug the gateway connector from behind the vehicle's OBD2 plug located on the lower left side of the driver's side dash and plug it into the corresponding female plug on the T-harness, and replace the vehicle's gateway plug with the gateway plug from the T-harness...

Step 2: Plug the blue plug from the T-harness into the blue plug on the remote starter module...in response, the LED on the remote starter module will turn on Solid RED indicating the system is powered up...

Step 3: With your eyes on the LED, turn the ignition ON (do not step on the vehicle's brake pedal): When you see the Solid RED LED go from flashing GREEN to a Solid Green then turn off, turn the ignition OFF...

(TECH TIP: On the 2013 model, it skips the green LED flash and goes straight to solid green, then turns off.)

Step 4: Test remote start activation: Exit the vehicle, close all the doors, and lock the doors with your factory remote; wait about a minute, then slowly press the LOCK button on your remote 3 times...after the vehicle remote starts, let it test run for at least a minute, then press the unlock button on your remote and enter the vehicle and press & release the brake pedal...in response the engine will shut down...

Step 5: Secure both the remote starter module and the T-harness up under the dash using the supplied nylon zip-ties. DONE!
